These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our services, including residential, commercial, long-distance, local moving, and storage services. 1. Agreement Overview

These Terms and Conditions constitute a legal agreement between you (the “Client”) and Davenport FL Movers, a company providing moving and storage services. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms, and any changes will be communicated to you promptly.

2. Services Provided

Davenport FL Movers offers the following services:

  • Local and Long-Distance Moving: Residential and commercial moving services for both local and long-distance relocations.
  • Packing and Unpacking: Professional packing and unpacking services for your items.
  • Furniture Disassembly and Reassembly: Disassembly and reassembly of large furniture.
  • Storage Solutions: Temporary and long-term storage for your belongings.
  • Other Moving Services: Any other moving-related services that may be agreed upon.

3. Booking and Scheduling

  • Reservation: To secure your move date, a reservation is required. Bookings can be made by phone, email, or through our website. A confirmation will be sent once the reservation is processed.
  • Advance Notice: We require at least 48 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Failure to do so may incur cancellation fees.
  • Deposit: A non-refundable deposit may be required to confirm your booking. This will be deducted from the total moving cost.

4. Pricing and Payment

  • Estimates: We provide free estimates based on the size and scope of the move. These estimates are subject to change if there are any unexpected changes to the scope of work.
  • Final Price: The final price is determined at the time of the move, based on the actual services rendered, the distance, and the time taken to complete the move.
  • Payment: Payment is due upon completion of the moving services. Accepted payment methods include cash, credit/debit cards, and electronic transfers. In some cases, a deposit may be required before the move begins.
  • Late Payments: If payment is not received on time, interest may accrue on the outstanding balance.

5. Responsibilities of the Client

  • Accurate Information: The Client must provide accurate and complete details regarding the items being moved, the location, and any special requirements. Failure to do so may result in additional charges or delays.
  • Preparation: The Client is responsible for preparing the home or office for the move, including ensuring that all items are packed and ready for transport unless packing services are included.
  • Access: The Client must ensure that the movers have access to the moving locations, including the old and new homes or offices. This includes providing keys, codes, or any special instructions for entry.

6. Responsibilities of Davenport FL Movers

  • Careful Handling: We take the utmost care when handling your items, using appropriate packing materials and secure loading practices to ensure their safety during transport.
  • Timely Delivery: We strive to deliver your items within the agreed-upon timeframe. Delays due to unforeseen circumstances (such as weather or road closures) are not the responsibility of Davenport FL Movers.
  • Liability: While we take every precaution, Davenport FL Movers is not liable for damage to items that are improperly packed or for items that are deemed not moveable (e.g., hazardous materials, plants, perishable goods).

7. Insurance and Liability

  • Basic Coverage: Our basic moving services include minimal liability coverage for damaged items, which will be based on the weight of the item damaged. This is provided at no extra cost.
  • Additional Insurance: Clients are encouraged to purchase additional insurance coverage for more valuable items. You can contact your insurance provider or discuss options with us to ensure your items are fully protected.
  • Damaged Items: In the event of damage to any items during the move, the Client must notify us immediately upon delivery, providing details of the damage. Claims must be submitted within 7 days of the move.

8. Prohibited Items

Davenport FL Movers will not transport certain items. These include but are not limited to:

  • Flammable or hazardous materials (e.g., propane, gasoline, paint, chemicals)
  • Perishable food items
  • Live plants or animals
  • Illegal substances

The Client is responsible for ensuring that no prohibited items are included in the move.

9. Cancellation and Refunds

  • Cancellations: If you wish to cancel your move, please provide us with at least 48 hours’ notice. A cancellation fee may apply based on the time of cancellation.
  • Refunds: Deposits are non-refundable. If the Client cancels after the move has been completed, no refunds will be issued, though a partial refund may be considered for services not rendered.

10. Privacy and Confidentiality

We are committed to protecting your privacy and confidentiality. Any personal information provided during the booking process or throughout the moving services will be kept secure and used only for the purpose of facilitating your move.

11. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to make every effort to resolve the issue amicably. If resolution cannot be reached, the dispute will be handled through arbitration or mediation, as required by Florida law.

12. Force Majeure

Davenport FL Movers is not liable for any failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to weather conditions, natural disasters, strikes, and other unforeseen events that may delay or prevent the moving process.

13. Modifications to Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to the Client through our website or by direct contact. It is the responsibility of the Client to review these terms periodically.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
